Money FM 89.3

As part of the leadup to SCCA - Singapore Corporate Counsel Association's upcoming Asia Pacific Legal Congress 2025,¹ I spoke with Hongbin Jeong of MONEY FM 89.3 on employment law matters. The topics covered include:

- the noticeable shifts in employment law in the last couple of years;
- common mistakes in non-compete clauses, and why the Courts appear to be striking them out with greater frequency;
- whether employees can be forced to disclose past contracts;
- the advantages of NOT going to Court;
- the new roles played by corporate counsel; and
- what I'm most looking forward to at the Asia Pacific Legal Congress.²

My slot aired at 610pm yesterday, but if you missed it, it's available in podcast format.³

Many thanks as well to Singapore Academy of Law for the support.

² The F&B, of course.

Of course not! I'm kidding!

It's actually the fact that I live just 5 minutes away from the venue.⁴

And since it's a podcast, you can also transcribe it - no shortage of tools these days - if you prefer to read instead of listen to the content.

⁴ Because of my profession, and I know that some of you really can't take a joke, I will clarify that yes, I am still kidding.

Earnest answer: I'm looking forward to catching up with and sharing ideas with friends, ex-colleagues, and fellow professionals.
